About NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS), a flagship programme of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, operates in collaboration with the University of Mumbai. Anchored in its inspiring motto “Not Me, But You,” NSS reflects the values of democratic citizenship and altruistic service, striving to cultivate responsible, empathetic, and socially conscious youth.

At Thakur Shyamnarayan Engineering College (TSEC), the NSS Unit was inaugurated on 21st June 2025 with an enthusiastic strength of 100 volunteers. The unit is devoted to nurturing socially responsible leaders who contribute actively to the community.
